My Wonderful, Sweet Daughter, Lisa

I’d like to say a few words about Lisa. She is the baby of the family and my early remembrances of her was that she was the quiet, uncomplaining, easy going one in the family. At the dinner table while the others were fussing or something, she would sit quietly, eating her dinner and not get involved in the “fray”. She has always been the compassionate one, and the one who cared enough to call and find out if I was okay. She is the wise person who always tried to negotiate peace and do it in such a way that was endearing. Growing up, she was always good in school and upon getting into UT decided on a double major. She studied hard and remained a top student. Her efficiency and organization is just built in and always amazes me. I remember her getting a job and telling me about all the pipes and gas lines that crisscrossed the U.S.A underground, which astonished me. Lisa got married to a wonderful Texas Longhorn guy then followed with their wonderful children. It was natural that she became an outstanding mother and patiently helped guide them to the wonderful people they are today. My love and pride for her is boundless and I am so proud of my wonderful sweet daughter who has grown into a beautiful, caring mother, wife and friend.
