Grateful for my Grandparents!

My OGOs are my grandparents on my mom’s side! My grandpa, Big Daddy, was the sweetest man in the entire world. He never had a bad word to say about anybody, and on the rare occasion he did, made sure to phrase it in the nicest way possible. Even though he rarely shared his tough side, he fought in WWII. In a single attack, he was shot in his chest, arm, and head. Not many people can say they lived through that! My grandma was just an incredible lady: sweet, funny, and my biggest cheerleader. They were the ones who made it possible for me to go to any college I wanted. It didn’t seem like a big deal at the time, but I now know how huge it actually was.

Their generosity has shaped my entire life and enabled me to get where I am today. Unfortunately, neither of them got to see me graduate from college, and I hate that I never got the chance to tell them how much their gift meant to me. So now I’m taking the opportunity to share with the world how much they mean to me and how grateful I am for all they did.

I’m using my degree and working hard every day. I know that if they were here to see where I am now, they would be proud of me. I’m proud that they are my OGOs!
