The weather outside is frightful, but holiday crafts are so delightful! Spruce up your holiday greeting cards with this adorable DIY that will put a smile on your OGO’s face for sure. This Christmas craft is perfect to create with the whole family and share with friends, neighbors, teachers and classmates.
STEP 1:
Gather your supplies – including our free greeting card template – and clear a workspace where you can safely cut out shapes and glue decorations.
STEP 2:
Cut out your template and trace the shapes on brown construction paper. We recommend tracing the head shape onto your tan construction paper and using the darker brown for your ears and antlers. Trace the shape we’ve included for writing onto white construction paper. Once you have the pieces of your card, it’s time to begin assembling!
STEP 3:
Fold the Head shape in half, creating a greeting card. Attach the ears and antlers using craft glue, and glue the white greeting card insert into the card. Allow these to dry while you gather your white and red pom poms, and felt tip pen or marker.
STEP 4:
Once the shapes have dried, you’re ready to share your message of love and cheer with your OGO. We recommend writing your message before you begin decorating.
STEP 5:
Now for the best part – the decorating! Attach 2 white pom poms for the eyes and 1 red pom pom for the nose. Using your felt tip marker, draw on eyelashes and a mouth to give your card a little extra personality.
STEP 6:
Attach your greeting card to a popsicle stick using craft glue and allow to dry.
STEP 7:
Make the You’re Deer to Me greeting card even more festive by adding ribbon, bells and bows. Then Voila! It’s ready to share with your OGO.
Don’t stop spreading cheer now – make a herd of You’re Deer to Me greeting cards for all the OGOs in your life. If you make our adorable You’re Deer to Me cards, take pictures of your creations and share them with us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter using the hashtag #WhosYourOGO.
